A nice surprise! For anchovies prepared in this sardine style, these have quite a bit of moisture … no risk of dry-fish-hiccups at all. Texture was solid and exactly what you’d expect. I ate them straight from the tin at room temp, only adding a little bit of salt and nothing else. These would be a great component in just about any preparation (pasta, sandwich) and I’d certainly choose them 100 times out of 100 over something like Wild Planet anchovies. Pretty impressive lil’ budget tin.

These are pretty moist for an anchovy, maybe because they’re packed looser. Still dryer than a sardine. Quite a bit of size variation but that doesn’t matter much. Good strong, clean flavor. I can picture this working very well as an ingredient. Good bang for your buck.

Had these with a Costco caesar salad and they were great! Dryer than a sardine, but packed with really great clear fishy taste. These seem great to keep on hand for salads or dressed up on toast.
