The Jamaican Jerk flavor in this is very prominent, quite tasty and the fish was firm. My only complaint is I personally wish the jerk sauce was thicker and more of a saucy texture instead of watery. it definitely had a kick of spicy which I loved combined with the rockfish and I could see this flavor going good if you’re making a seafood Jamaican Jerk patty. Overall it’s a decent tin of fish and a rare flavor amongst tinned fish from what I’ve seen so I am glad I tried it.

I can’t really speak to the jerk flavor, I stupidly drained the can before tasting the liquid and then made a salad before tasting the fish. I was worried I needed it all to make enough salad, and if it were really good, well…. I might not have enough. Ha!
What I can say is that this made a fantastic salad! My guest said the best salad she could remember. Half a shallot, few green onion tops, hard boiled egg, Dukes mayo, Voila! It was really delish, and had a unique flavor, though not one I could call jerk. I really should have tried it first!
Served on bibb lettuce, with half avocado sliced, and assorted baby tomatoes sliced in half, home made croutons, fresh pepper and coarse Himi salt. Wow!
This cute little tin of fish saved my dinner as I added too much lime to my butter and ruined our snapper entrée! We didn’t care after that salad!

Couldn’t be happier with this tin. Lovely smoked rockfish, and it stands up so well to the kick of the jerk sauce. Definitely will treat meself to this selection again in future.

This tin didn’t pack the punch I was expecting from a company created by a chef. The flavor was not spicy in my opinion, and the jerk flavor lacked a complexity that I relish about Jamaican food. This tin tasted more like jerkY. The fish itself did absorb a great amount of flavor and flaked apart beautifully but had a toughness to the chew that just added to the jerky complex. Worth the try, but not worth a repurchase.

Flavor of the jerk seasoning was nice, but the fish was firm to the point of being dry. Loved the concept but more like spiced tuna in execution here.
