    My first go at mackerel was KO kippers, I was a bit turned off at how firm/jerky like the meat was. Other non-smoked varieties also varied in texture a bit that made me wary of Mackrel fillets. This tin had 2 large chunks of fillet was a nice firm, meaty texture that didn’t overdo it. They did seem a little dry though. The sauce tasted great, less oil than other tomato sauced tins. This went well with something that could lend a bit a salt to it. These are good value and I’d get these as something to add as a protein to another dish.
