Well, what can I say this tin made me rethink my outlook on anchovies. No fishy smell upon opening the tin, the filets were firm and “meaty”. Tried the anchovies on their own at first. I definitely did not expect the mildly salty, umami “bomb” that I got hit with. Very different from other tins I’ve tried. It’s worth a try if you wish to upgrade from your previous “mediocre” experience with these fish.
