Warmed the tin with 60C water for a couple of minutes before opening and eating with a slice of sourdough bread. The sauce is rich and if I didn’t know any better I would swear it included a bit of cream. I’m guessing the onion gives it a tiny bit of sweetness that gives the olive oil a little something extra. Fish is flaky yet firm. Five or six decently sized pieces (I was hungry so I didn’t actually count).
This is delicious and I would be happy to be served this in a restaurant over some sort of carb with some veggies. Maybe a risotto made with fish stock? But not too much butter as it doesn’t really need it.
I would use hotter water to heat the tin next time as the contents were not completely warmed through, but that is a minor complaint. At this price I can’t justify buying this tin often but I will be purchasing again.
